A Tardigrade's Romp Through Trek History

I love animated Trek.  The 70s animated show is highly underrated in my opinion.  I have long felt that bringing animation back to Trek is a good idea. It's a different format that can explore truly strange new worlds, because the limits of live action can be lifted.  So here it is, a short Trek that offers up the first bit of animated Star Trek since 1974...it's ok!
It follows the journey of a little tardigrade as it stumbles upon the Enterprise (during the 5 year mission), ends up laying it's eggs in the engine, but is soon banished by a repair drone.  So the tardigrade uses the mycelial network to chase after it's babies, following the ship as it adventures with tribbles and other classic episodes, we see the ship upgraded and battling the Reliant, and the tardigrade nearly loses her babies when the Enterprise self destructs during it's battle with the Klingons at the end of Star Trek III. But the repair drone discovers the eggs and it's mistake and saved the babies. Yay!

I am happy to see animation return to Trek, even if it was a tad more Looney Tunes than I would like, and I find the whole repair drones thing to be so annoying (seriously...the entire history of Trek they've had this little robots fixing stuff? They are apparently useful in a battle but never once used for that purpose? I can't suspend my disbelief that far), but ultimately this is a fun, sweet, little short that has a touch of fan service that plays well.
