We meet Tasha Yar’s sister. It is kind of a big “so what”. I think the whole planet of gang-rape is kind of a weird idea, and was when it was hinted at for a backstory for Tasha in the first season, now that we get to know it, it isn’t nearly as interesting as you’d hope.
Ishara is an annoying character as well, she barely emotes, trying to act tough but it comes off as boring. Nice early 90s haircut as well. She is like a terrible version of Sarah Connor from Terminator (I don’t know why but I can’t look at her without getting that thought).
Side note: This episode begins with one of the best poker game segments of all TNG.
