Riker is rehearsing for a play in which he is a mental patient…but then he appears to actually be in the hospital. He shifts between both the Enterprise and the Hospital, constantly unsure of what is real and what is not, almost to the point that he is actually insane.
The episode is somewhat awkwardly structured, but manages to do just enough to remain interesting and keep you entertained. Definitely a solid episode, but closer to average TNG than anything. Fairly well done though.
