Terrorists try to steal some deadly toxins from the Enterprise’s warp core as it is in for maintenance or something that involves a lethal beam of something going through the ship. Picard is the one guy to fight them off. It is often compared to, the the comparisons are often denied by the author, but it really is…a lot like Die Hard.
And Die Hard is great so it works in a way. It is basically an action film, it is enjoyable but not to smart. If you prefer sci-fi, skip this one, but if you don’t mind a bit of mindless entertainment every now and again, you won’t feel jipped by this one.
