Story: A Fistful of Datas
Written By: Robert Hewitt Wolfe and Brannon Braga
Series: Star Trek: The Next Generation
Year: 1992
I’m no fan of the average western, and I’m even less a fan of sci-fi doing their “Western” story. But if you held a gun to my head and I had to watch one, I’d pick this over “Spectre of the Gun” any day.
This is not a good episode really but it has its fun moments. Plus there is a bit of a childhood memory element for me, I saw this as a kid, or at least the commercial for it was on a tape for some other Star Trek episode I had recorded. You get Worf in cowboy gear and a broken holodeck which makes all of the characters Data.
So this is a weird episode, and only sort of works, but it is kind of funny at times, and that makes it worth watching.
