This episode is pretty good. A crewmember with an old grudge against Captain Kirk is accidentally killed during an ion storm. But ship records seem to contradict Kirk’s report, and it looks as if Kirk jettisoned the pod the man was in before the Red Alert, when his action would have been justified.
It’s a courtroom drama, Star Trek style. The execution is good, and the performance from Kirk's lawyer is terrific. It isn’t as good as the future Next Generation episodes "The Measure of a Man" or even “The Drumhead”, but it is pretty damn good.
