Officially this was the last episode of the first season of TAS. I count the whole Animated Series as one season; in the end the seasons combined are still shorter than the average live action season.
The Enterprise encounters a planet filled with monsters, but as it turns out they are an evolved species far above the 23rd Century Federation…they were like the Federation 20 centuries ago. It is a standard TAS episode, not bad, but not that special either.
