Story: Return to Tomorrow
Written By: John Kingsbridge
Series: Star Trek: The Original Series
Year: 1968
The Enterprise encounters beings that have evolved beyond the use of their bodies, but wish to regain the use of bodies. To do so, their leader Sargon wants to use the bodies of Kirk, Spock, and a female Scientist. They plan to borrow the bodies just long enough to build new robot bodies to house their essence.
But Henoch, one of the other of Sargon’s race, has other plans. Once in Spock’s body he never intends to leave and plots to kill Sargon, who would not let him keep Spock’s body.
“Return to Tomorrow” is a decent episode, a bit weird, but definitely interesting on some level.
NEXT TIME: The Planet Ekos
