I gotta admit it now…I think I love the animated series. I mean I liked it, but rewatching this ridiculous story made me just say, “I love this!”
Kirk and Spock are somehow mutated on a planet that is mostly made up of water, and now they can only breath and speak underwater, have webbed hands, and have some way of seeing under the water.
It is utterly ridiculous, and had it not been a cartoon it never would have worked…but it does here. It was fun, it was exciting, and I liked its nonsense. Should it be canon? Hell yes.
