Story: 'Til Death Do Us Part
Written By: David Weddle & Bradley Thompson
Series: Star Trek: Deep Space Nine
Year: 1999

Kai Winn comes to the station to give her congratulations to Sisko on his engagement. Soon after they speak she has a vision from the Prophets for the first time. What she thinks are the prophets, but in actuality, they are the Pah-Wraiths. He downfall in this arc is an easy one to buy. She has always made it clear that she is jealous of Sisko, she wants the Prophets to speak to her but they have never given her the chance. So now when they come, she does not question whether they were her prophets or not. She is told that she will be sent a guide, and was given little hints about him. When that guide arrives in the form of Dukat (still looking Bajoran) she falls for it hook, line, and sinker. There is even an eye popping moment where she and he kiss…it is one of those things you never epect, these often unrelated villains of the series getting it on. Weird
Sisko is agonizing over his decision not to marry Kassidy due to the Prophets warning. He finally decides Prophets be damned and goes for it, it clearly disturbs Kira.

Damar can’t even look himself in the mirror anymore. He hates his new life, and even suggests to Dukat that he could have his old job back. It is only a small line, but man is it a sad moment when you think about it. He is told to come with Weyoun on a trip, one he has been kept in the dark about.

All the while Ezri and Worf are each being tortured and interrogated by the Breen. I’d like to take a moment to say I know their look is based on Leia’s disguise in “Return of the Jedi”, but I thik they are an odd and cool species here. Anyhow, in the midst of the torturing it becomes clear that Ezri totally wishes she had not banged Worf, and really kinda wants to get with Julian. It irks Worf to know that, but Ezri is having trouble even fathoming it.

Before you know it, they are taken by the Breen and transported to a Dominion ship. They are joining forces. Badass, shit is getting intense already.
