Story: The Conscience of the King
Written By: Barry Trivers
Series: Star Trek: The Original Series
Year: 1966
Another solid episode. This one features a little bit of back-story for Kirk. He was once one of only few left alive to be an eyewitness to a man known as Kodos the Executioner, who once sieved control of an Earth colony, and executed half of the population.
Now its come to Kirk’s attention that Kodos may be alive and under the guise of a traveling Shakespearian Actor, and using this guise to murder the last of the eyewitnesses to his terrible deeds.
I think the mystery and execution is all well done, an entertaining episode in the least.
NEXT TIME: The Shuttle Craft
