Story: Past Tense, Part II
Written By: Ira Steven Behr, Robert Hewitt Wolfe and René Echevarria
Series: Star Trek: Deep Space Nine
Year: 1995
The second episode is just as strong as the first, and it deals more with a hostage situation, the very hostage situation during the riots that helped shape the 21st century, with Sisko taking place of the dead Bell…as they were responsible for his accidental death.
On the Defiant it has a bit of “City on the Edge of Forever” feel to it.
All in all for a two parter that focuses on social issues and not the Dominion arc it is pretty solid and enjoyable and dramatic. I found it to be pretty awesome for what they were.
