Story: Destiny

Series: Star Trek: Deep Space Nine
Year: 1995
An interesting episode continuing and building on the theme that Sisko is the Emissary of the Prophets on Bajor. It is something he has never been comfortable with, but even Kira admits that she believes he is this religious icon.
The story is about the first joint scientific venture between the Cardassians, Bajorans, and the Federation. But one former Vedek believes that one prophecy will mean that the Celestial Temple (the wormhole) will crash and be lost forever.
It is a solid episode. Not the most exciting, but it raises some interesting points about Sisko, points that eventually pay off in future episodes.
