Story: Facets
Written By: René Echevarria
Series: Star Trek: Deep Space Nine
Year: 1995
Dax is performing a Trill ceremony in which members of the crew will temporarily be inhabited by the memories of Dax’s previous hosts. It is simultaneously interesting and weird. Odo as Curzon is interesting, but it is a little too goofy at times. But some scenes, like Sisko as Joran are just plain freaky.
In a real small B-story, Nog is taking some test for Starfleet, and I liked things like Rom saying how his son’s happiness mean more to him than anything, even money.
I don’t have a problem with this episode, but it is a bit odd and dull and weird…I can watch it, but to the average viewer it may not work.
NEXT TIME: Captain Sisko
