Story: Hippocratic Oath
Written By: Nicholas Corea and Lisa Klink
Series: Star Trek: Deep Space Nine
Year: 1995
Bashir and O’Brien crash land on a planet and find some Jem’Hadar. They are held prisoner, but Bashir is asked to help these Jem’Hadar free themselves from the need of Ketracel-White so they can be free of the Founders. It is a solid episode, in a sort of how far do you go to help the enemy or compromise your medical ethics kind of way.
The smaller B-story has Worf having trouble to adjusting to life on the station. He was in charge of Security for 7 years on the Enterprise, and he has having trouble not wanting to arrest every minor criminal that comes aboard, but that’s just not how Odo or the Station operates…and it really isn’t his job anymore. So Worf is struggling, and it is a decent story.
Altogether both stories make for a solid episode.
