For an episode that deals with the pretty boring sci-fi cliché topic of entity possession, this episode is surprisingly fantastic. It deals with O’Brien, Data, and Troi getting possessed by three entities and attempting to take over the Enterprise.
It is a thrilling episode, and it is very entertaining. Troi is actually far more entertaining when a bad guy. Brent Spiner gives a great performance as the constantly irritated guy. Meaney also gives a strong performance.
Top notch episode, and I think it gets better upon further viewings, I don’t remember caring for it the first time I watched it.
