Max Headroom guest stars a historian from the future who is on the Enterprise to witness some historical event that Picard and the crew takes part in. But he is kind of shady, kind of a weirdo, and kind of dishonest.
I think this episode works purely because of Matt Frewer. He is a great actor, and I think he gives a good performance. I like his work as Max Headroom and in “Honey, I Shrunk the Kids”…he is just a fun actor to watch.
The twist that he is actually a thief and con man from the past who STOLE this time machine is pretty solid.
