What starts as an interesting take on meeting a new alien race turns into a mess rather quickly. I mean since Voyager, no probably even the Dominion War, we’ve been meeting races that are hostile…we were rarely given the treat to meet new races that weren’t “the enemy”. Enterprise had been carrying on this xenophobic tradition, which I do not agree with. This episode had the Enterprise meet up with some lovely alien race, and then screw it up with making them IMPREGNATE Tucker.
Give me a break…they are ripping off the plot to “Junior”? It is really unfortunate that they had to go and take it in the direction they did…you couldn’t just show like a first contact gone well? Couldn’t make it about our characters truly learning to seek out new life and civilizations? Nope gotta have some kinda wacky plot device or the people won’t watch!
Shame.
